Smog Cleaning Building

Wired recently reported on a ‘smog eating’ tower. Naturally, this caught the eye of the Superclean Services’ HQ and London office cleaning teams. We place major importance on innovation; part of the reason our London office cleaning programmes are so effective today is due to the development of resources and practices throughout the years, brought about by innovation. As our specialist teams are busily cleaning London offices, they use the most pioneering and environmentally friendly resources possible.

The Smog Free Tower is the creation of Daan Roosegaarde. His company, Studio Roosegaarde, had worked on various life-improving projects previously. Inspired by Beijing’s smog, the inventor went about the ‘clean air temple’ in the city.

Opened in September of this year, the tower ‘cleans 30,000 cubic metres of air every hour using just 1,170 watts of energy – roughly the same as it takes to power an average water boiler,’ states Wired.

The smog granules are then extricated and compacted into firm materials which are subsequently transformed into items such as cufflinks and rings.

The chain of events doesn’t end here. Every time a Smog Free Jewellery item is sold, another 1,000 cubic metres of clean air is given to the city.

Here, at Superclean Services, we recognise and welcome such innovative thinking and its impact on the environment.

Our own Environmental Policy lays out the importance we place on cleaning London offices in the eco-friendliest way possible. Our exceptional London office cleaning teams are trained and highly skilled in all related matters.
